Key Features & Design
- Self-Drilling / Self-Tapping Threads
The sharp, helical threads and pointed drill tip eliminate the need for pre-drilling pilot holes. They can cut their own threads directly into metal sheets, wood, or plastic, which drastically speeds up installation compared to traditional screws.
- Wafer / Modified Truss Head
The low-profile, wide-diameter head distributes clamping force evenly over a larger surface area. This prevents pull-through in thin materials (like sheet metal or roofing panels) and creates a flush, clean finish. The Phillips drive (cross recess) is universal and easy to use with standard power tools.
- Black Phosphate Coating
The dark, glossy black finish is a phosphate conversion coating, which provides excellent corrosion resistance, lubricity during installation, and a durable, professional appearance. It is ideal for outdoor applications like roofing, siding, and metal framing.
- High-Strength Steel Construction
Most of these screws are made from hardened carbon steel, engineered to withstand high torque and heavy loads, making them suitable for structural and heavy-duty applications.
